The primary anchor of the Shawnee Crossings mixed-use development is the Perceptive Software, Inc. headquarters building. GBA was commissioned to provide complete design services for the three-story (plus basement) office building. The building features more than 102,000 gross square feet and is packed with features aimed at increasing employee satisfaction and retention while maintaining an efficient building shell that may be easily converted to a multi-tenant operation.

Features of this highly creative, innovative space:

• A one-story spiral slide - just because it's fun!
• The building is completely wired and wireless, with more than 50 miles of Ethernet cable and the capacity to support 250 simulteneous wireless internet connections
• Modular training room that facilitates independent terminal access for up to 80 people
• Wall-mounted plasma monitors located throughout the building
• An "Xbox Room" for employee enjoyment
• 16,000 sf of windows that are all bullet-proof
• The data center and training room have anti-static, raised floors with wiring running underneath to allow for maximum reconfiguration and flexibility

The lower level houses PSI’s information technology department, an exercise room, and an area dedicated for dodgeball. Full size men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers are also included in the design.

Other elements that will benefit employees include a main level café area with a full service espresso bar, comfortable seating and media tables with power and networking capabilities which allow employees to conduct impromptu meetings. A large patio along the south elevation of the building gives occupants the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and offers a fire pit for the possible Friday cook-out. The second and third floors each have two exterior balconies that overlook the west end of the mixed-use office park.

GBA provided architecture; interior architecture; structural, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering; and fire protection engineering services for the project.
